Yoga is a Way of Life
FAQs
Im hoping you might find some of these questions helpful. If something you want to know doesn't come up, please
Q. What should I wear?
A. Any non restrictive 'work out gear'. eg, leggings and a top that doesn't ride up( we spend a lot of time with our heads below are hearts! For you lads, some sports shorts and a t-shirt will be great.
Q. What do I need to bring to class?
A. A yoga mat. And if you have a pair of blocks that's an added extra. If you have no blocks, have a thick book, like an encyclopaedia at hand that could be used instead ( its good to give the book a use in the age of Google!). A dedicated yoga strap is also useful but not essential.
Q. Im really stiff, will I be able to do yoga?
A. All the more reason to do yoga! Its never too late to gain flexibility.
Q. Im not very strong, especially in the upper body.
A. Neither was I when I first started to do Yoga, but there's no better way to increase your strength, than just getting started! I give modifications for trickier moves, so you won't feel out of your depth.
Q. How long will it take to make a difference to my body.
A. So we all have different expectations of our own bodies. The more committed you are to both the physical Yoga ( the asanas) and the spiritual ethos of the practice, the more enriched you will become, both physically and mentally.
Q. How do I log in to the session?
A. As soon as you book through the website, you will receive a link into your inbox ( its a good idea to save my email address to prevent emails going into spam). All remote classes are on Zoom, so you will need to download this before you log in.
Q. On Zoom, am I seen by the people in a class?
A. Most people who join the open classes put their screens on Speaker View so its the teacher who sees everyone. No one has time to watch in my classes!
